You have to be very careful and be sure the music that's on iTunes is the music you want on your iPhone. That means it could potentially delete the music on your iPhone. The risk is that if you have songs on your iPhone, but none in your iTunes library, the syncing process might overwrite what's on your iPhone. This post assumes that you are connecting your iPhone to your own iTunes library and that you sync your music between iTunes and your iPhone. WARNING: Although very simple, using iTunes to import your voice memos can mess up your iTunes library.
Note that the process is exactly the same whether you own a Windows PC or a Mac.
In the few steps listed below, we will show you how to import voice memos into iTunes. It requires you to connect your iPhone to iTunes.
If you are using a newer Mac or PC, we highly recommend you use the Share sheet method described at the top of this article.Įxporting voice memos to your computer is a lot simpler than you may realize. Sync your voice memos with iTunesīecause Apple has retired the iTunes app, this method should only be used if you are using an older Mac running macOS 10.14 Mojave or earlier, or an older Windows PC. Simply type in your email address, or the email address of your preferred recipient, then send the email. If you use voice memos frequently and want to move multiple voice memos at once to your PC or Mac, you can use iTunes to automatically synchronize new voice memos to your computer. Option Two: Synchronize All Voice Memos With Your Computer via iTunes Repeat this process for each voice memo you want to share. For example, to use Dropbox, you must have the Dropbox app on your iPhone. To use a service, its app must be installed on your phone. Scroll to the right and tap “More” to view additional services you can enable. If you email the memo to your own email address, you can open your email on your PC and Mac and download the file. Select the service you want to share to-for example, select Mail to email the voice memo to yourself. This button looks like a box with an up arrow coming out of it. To use this Share feature, open the Voice Memos app, tap the memo you want to share, and tap the Share button to get started. Or, if you have a Mac, the Share feature will also let you use AirDrop to send the voice memo file directly from your iPhone to your Mac. You could also share the voice memo to a service like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive installed on your phone. For example, you could take a voice memo and share it to the Mail app to email the voice memo to yourself or someone else.
